Bouncing Outta Beantown, Off to Ottawa!

Good day,

The time is 7:44am and I’m in a deserted Air Canada lounge waiting for my flight, hooray. I love driving into major cities on a Sunday, it reminds you of what life may have been like 40 years ago when there weren’t that many cars OR what life will be like in 20 years from now when gas prices are so high that only the “financial elite” will even be able to afford a gallon of gas, crazy world we live in, yes? Luckily, I never plan on owning another car … EVER.

Always love seeing the grandparents (like I’m assuming most grandchildren do) and hate saying goodbye. Probably spent some of the best quality time I have to date with my grandpa while my grandma is in rehab. Traveling is great but one thing that hits home is you miss out on a lot of family stuff. Anyways, better to be the one who cares that isn’t near than the one who is near and never calls or cares, yes? I digress.

I’m off to Ottawa for a little more than 2 weeks before heading out on something egregious that I’m dying to mention as when I got the email about the proposed trip, I actually did a backflip from my bars stool at Tranquilo Cafe on Little Corn Island. It was messy and multiple margaritas were spilled, I assure you.

Before we go, I’d like to impart some wisdom on the topic of tight transfers when traveling… While in Managua I saw this gorgeous lady in front of me and said nothing, when we got to Florida it took forever and she was near me in line and going to Boston. Turns out security doesn’t care if you miss your flight so the two of us, led by yours truly went on a rampage of serious budding and aggressive “getting to where you’re going”. All the guards were like you’ll have to relax but we didn’t and we made the flight RIGHT BEFORE THE DOORS CLOSED.

Why do I tell you this? If you’re stressing on a connection, you should be. The security staff hears that junk all the time so don’t count on them. If you’re late, take it upon yourself to go to the front of the line and ask the nicest looking person you can if they mind as you’re entering that “critical stage of the game” regarding your connection.

Some interesting people just entered the lounge, please excuse me…

Tips hat,

P.S: Beantown Deli in Stoughton, Mass makes a nice breakfast but didn’t like the bacon.
