Hard To See Stars From Home Base

Greetings,

This will be a brief, a game of golf is calling and so is yet another XL from my good friend Timothy Hortons. It’s hard to see the stars when you’re at home base, remember someone from NASA telling me that or it was a dream, one of the two. It’s all too true though, let me expand.

Being home is wonderful, lots of perks and very comfortable. It’s just so hard to imagine what’s happening and even harder to get the zeal in your step to make something happen. A simple trip to say Montreal or Toronto comes with great debate and hesitation when it’s really an extension of your back yard.

Just thinking of where to go next or what to do seems an insurmountable challenge. Same feelings one had before leaving and probably the same you’d have or had when you were in similar situation. Once you “get out there” in orbit so to speak, everything becomes crystal clear and you’ll probably never wish to return besides significant dates you’d regret if not in attendance.

Suffice to say, when you’re at home it’s your home base, when you’re somewhere foreign and strange it’s out in space. It’s too hard to understand what it will be like and what may happen. This I do assure you will happen though, stay in one place and let the world run by.

6 weeks of sitting at home / routine living goes by in a glimpse, 6 weeks on the road can provide memories for a lifetime with new experiences daily. Whether you’re on the road or at home time will fly by like the line on a reel just being devoured by Loch Ness herself.

Being home again makes you wonder how you did it in the first place, oddly it’s the same thoughts, concerns, worries that come to mind. One must block them out and act AGAINST ALL GOOD JUDGEMENT which would be to settle down, build a nest and lay some eggs. There are enough “ham and eggers” in this world and not enough eating greasy English breakfasts on white sand beaches with open itineraries.

Tips hat,
